A traveling exhibit featuring the portraits of 31 women who share their true stories of domestic violence survival are featured in an Iowa Coalition against Domestic Violence’s, or ICADV, photography exhibit.

“Faces of the Iowa Voices Project” will be on display from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 7 at Scott Community College. Photographer and author Katie Thompson will be on hand for a 5:30 p.m. reception

Featured women from all walks of life, age and ethnic groups demonstrate that there is no “typical” domestic violence victim. To do the project, survivors met with Thompson for extensive interviews and photo sessions.
